The Jackson Junior Welfare League (JJWL) of Jackson, Michigan is proud to announce that for our Fiscal Year 2009 we will be offering Mini-Grants to a select group of local, Michigan, Nonprofit Organizations (501c3). The women of JJWL are honored to be able to present this opportunity to our community and we look forward to helping the many organizations that work hard to maintain the charitable growth and development of Jackson, Michigan. Nonprofit must be a 501(c)3 organization or have a designated fiduciary agent. JJWL will not award individuals. JJWL will give priority to local organizations and programs that benefit the women, children and elderly of Jackson County. Past recipients are welcome to apply. Mini-Grant applications should clearly identify the PURPOSE, RELEVENCE, SIGNIFICANCE, QUALITY and MANAGEMENT of the applicant’s proposal. Tier Description & Requirements (all Tiers must supply 501(c)3 determination letter) Tier 1 - $250 - $500: Applicants for Tier 1 are required to submit the Application Cover Sheet. Tier 2 - $501 - $2000: Applicants for Tier 2 are required to submit the Application Cover Sheet, Project Budget & Explanation, list of current Board members, organizations prior year financial report. Tier 3 - $2001 - $5000: Applicants for Tier 3 are required to submit the Application Cover Sheet, Project Budget & Explanation, list of current Board members, organizations financial reports for prior two years, two examples of publicity or program materials. Application Review The JJWL Community Projects Committee appointed by the JJWL Board members will review applications. The Committee will recommend applicants to Board Members for vote, which will proceed to JJWL General Members. The General Members will vote at the February 2009 meeting on the final applicants to determine Mini-Grant awards. Grant Cycle
